daughter is at double header birthday party! i watched green hornet. loved it!! Green Hornet is a great movie to watch alone or with like minded people. One of my favorite things is to watch movies alone. That way i know it wont be total garbage and i wont have to explain the whole thing or listen to people talk.

This is more of what went on for the past 3 days. I spent today shopping for mics. parts and loading up the trailer for this weeks boardroom job. I also had to deal with two of my guys quiting within days of each other for "Personal" reasons The one guy said he was moving (he's been talking about it forever) and the other says he needs to go "Find Himself" WTF?!? your 43.
So im pretty much SOL ill be by my self most of the week. Im having a buddy of mine step in to help with the heavy lifting but other then that im by myself. It just sucks because these two were really good and I could trust them.
on Friday I had been over in PA and happened to be right down the road from a Nissan Dealer and walked in and started inquiring about the NV vans. I come to find out that the first 3 months of being able to order the vans they are locked into getting white (unless they were specifically ordered by customers which i was lied to by my first dealer) Also, Because of the events in Japan and the Paint issue all colors other then White and dark grey have been placed on hold until August-September and production has ceased on any new NV vans placed until further notice due to part Issue's. Meaning what is out there is all that will be for the next few months.
Now, I had already grown tired of the original Nissan Dealer where i had placed my deposit 3 weeks ago of the constant run around, having to call them for updates and finding out if and when i could expect the van and finally I was told by them that "dont call us anymore we'll call you" Well, that made me mad but not mad enough to cancel the deposit **Quite Yet**. I hadnt had a good feeling about them since I placed a deposit but ive been so sick and tired of dealing with cars and dealerships that i just wanted it to be over. And besides, they gave me a "Good" Deal.
So after hearing what the second dealership told me i promptly called the 1st and wanted my deposit back. Well i was fed a bunch of BS and suddenly my salesmen erupts and flips total Sh!t. I dont think i had EVER been yelled at like that before in my life (my parents had a mouth on them but never like that) Yelling and screaming and saying my deposit is theirs i signed this that and another thing blah blah blah and then he hung up on me. I was so stunned it took me a bit to register but i then immediately called my CC company and disputed it. After an hour or so i called the manager up of the first place and he apologized for the outburst and promptly refunded my money and then informed me that my salesmen is no longer working their as of an hour ago.
So anyway, the second dealership gave me a wicked good deal on a 2500 they had just gotten in literally 3 hours before I walked in. It has a couple things i didnt want like side curtain airbags, rear glass windows and biggest of all its white instead of black (sorry stamp) but they essentially wiped those off the sticker and then some. They claim that ill be the first in the Metro East to take official delivery of the NV van and they wanted to have their name on the first so they gave me an absolutely amazing deal. I cant wait for another 3-5 months for a van just to have it in black so im just going to have it lettered and wrapped "black". I should hopefully have it upfitted this week and take delivery by Friday!
I also watched "The Other Guys" and found my self just about ROFLMAO the whole way through.
Jeese Sorry for the book!

You getting the tall or the short or are there more options on the NV? Im getting the low roof. There arent really a bunch of options other then the S (manual everything two speaker sound system etc) and the SV package includes power everything, Keyless entry, Center Console, 4 speaker sound system, More lights in the back of the van and probably the coolest feature is a 400 watt inverter. There is one in the console so you can charge your laptop, cellphone or what have you and one in the back so you can charge your batteries or even run a smaller drill. You can also add GPS/Rear view camera, side airbags, Rear windows and a security system. You also get a choice of a V6 or V8, I opted for the V6 just for fuel economy and higher residual. I test drove the one im purchasing and it has more then enough power, if you didnt know any better by the tone of the engine and exhaust and the power it has you would think it had a V8 in there. The van is really really cleaver. As soon as i take delivery of it ill post some pics and do a "remote central review". The only thing im a bit worried about is if the shelfing will be able to fit all my ICE cable boxes.

I started the boardroom project. Only for the branch manager walked in asked what i was doing in the ceiling as i was installing unistrut. Told him im installing the screen and he goes on to say that he doesnt want an inceiling screen anymore didnt i get the email. I say no, ive been speaking with Blah and Blah and they were the ones who specified an in ceiling screen. So after the manager grabbed the two guys ive been dealing with they concluded for what ever reason beyond me they want the screen on the wall. I said, OK! not a problem ( i didnt even fight it as its easier to mount it on the wall and then still give them a change order for the time i wasted up in the trusses. they were ok with paying 3 hours worth of wasted labor too) Also, i finally toned out the conduit for the in floor box (Not one person in the building had a clue as to where that conduit exited and it wasnt on the blueprints) It happens to come right out below the rack in the server room about 135 feet away. So i need to give them a change order for a VGA balun. Have any of you had any luck with this? [Link: keydigital.com]ugh, long day...Going to be a longg week.

These days, I may reconsider but, well...no. No I probably wouldn't. Pretty good looking project though, I don't know that I would post a picture of the job with a loose cable just strung from the cabinet to the TV on my site. Looks a bit unfinished.

Yeah, I keep half assing the pictures from my evo since I'm always on the run, bad habit for sure. I'm not big on working in the Ranch but it seems to be picking up so we'll see.
That picture was before the MA rack came in and the day I finished installing it, I was done around 9pm and just wanted to get home. Fun little project for what it was though.
