Went to the hardware shop and bought some more MDF and timber for the home show display I am building. It was 36 degrees. (97F).

Doing a job in the morning that has lots of ceiling work and its going to be 36 again. If I don't make it, thanks for everything!

Carefull unpacked and drooled over the new big WOLF projector today. We're going to run it through it's paces on Thursday when the factory guys show up for the cool-aid fest.

Today I found out we got the go-ahead for a job that will take us out out of town for all of next week. Considering that I've only worked 2 of the last 6 business days, that's great news!

Well, I survived the ceiling trip/s. Wish I had a thermometer with me, had to be in the 50's (125-130) I could barely breath. I love summer.

And you want to know the worst part, it was to install a Blose system. You forget how blehhhhh they sound when you haven't heard one for a while.

Harden up princess its that hot nearly every day of the year here. :-)
Wireless speakers? Of course Sir. Choose the colour and size you like. As you don't seem to think sound quality is important, I will not plug them in.

I really like your HDR photos. I've recently bought a Cannon 7d and a 10-22mm wide angle lens to start trying to document our installations. Your setup advice has been tremendously helpful. I'm using Photomatrix and the pictures are looking pretty good. The one question I have is where are you getting the simulated movie/sports images you are adding in PS?

Bought myself the new MacBook pro today. 15" fully loaded (sort of).

Bit of an impulse buy....buyer's remorse anyone?

Found out that we have the contract for our second house out west with the potential of 2 more in the works.

Spent 1/2 the day creating archives and moving folders from the old laptop and then spent the rest of the day importing the archives and moving files and folders onto the new laptop, trying to continue to program the project I have been working on as well as update the showroom to find out that I have no tools in toolbox.

Tomorrow is going to be a day full of of on the phone with Crestron tech support.

At least it's Friday

Yesterday, I bought my self a new watch. The eZ430 from Texas Instruments is a stupidly fun little MCU with a 915MHz radio embedded. Spent all of an hour integrating the thing into my home automation rig. I can now toggle a couple of lights or open my garage door with my watch! Nerdy? Yes. Impractical? Of course. Fun as all get out? You bet your a$$.

What I can suggest is my technique which I'm sure Sb also does. Take 2 pictures using tripod in the same spot, one with the room as dark as possible and then one with the adequate lighting and superimpose the 'screen shot' onto the lighten image
