this wasn't today, but here are the lights on my house from this year. Quite a few clients want us to do this for them next year

Great work, that is awesome.

Today, we went and installed an HDMI balun for a system so they could have a local PS3. Old plaster house and the remotes just weren't working. Worked great. Also they had a basic 3.5-rca cable connected for hooking up an ipod. We ran a cable and installed a 3.5 jack at the desk so they could easily just leave connected to the computer but also plug in the ipod there without having to go into the rack.

Spent a lot of the day working on an RTI project trying to figure out the Variable Text on a one way remonte. I've pretty much given up.

Had left dinner from a dinner we hosted last night with a few friends. Tonight a couple friends and fam came by to help finish off the left overs.

Worked on the acoustical treatments in our theater... RPG diffusers / absorbers, mounted the speakers. Carpet goes in tomorrow, then the fabric-wall guys come out and cover the walls and ceiling... then we'll install the rest of the Owens Corning insualtion on the ceiling around all of the RPG skyline diffusers. Still a fair amount of work to do before we mount the 17 foot wide Screen Research screen & masking motor assemblies.

got ready to take delivery of my new Mini! got all the paperwork in order and will be doing a Christmas eve delivery! best christmas gift ever :) pictures to follow

BTW: I ordered mine (took 5 weeks) but if any of you are looking into them the dealers are doing everything they can to unload the 2010 year models and have some killer lease/finance offers with some pretty awesome incentives. Literally giving the 2010's away

I'm sorta jealouse.

Today, I worked on some paperwork, invoicing, orders, etc. Was able to get a Panny VT 65" 3D bundle for a client that has been waiting since August. this will be  a good little job.

Then I went and upgraded a clients broken DVD/VHS combo to a Samsung Bluray and installed a Ubiquit Picostation m2hp, disabling the radio in their not so good netgear wifi router. Had some trouble retro'ing the wire, but not to big of deal. Had to update the Prodigy progamming for the bluray, but that was actually very painless.

Her old GE brand HDMI cable wouldn't work with the Bluray player, so did have a little bit of trouble shooting.

When snowboarding in Lake Tahoe on Sunday. they've received over 6' of snow or so in the past 7-10 days. Conditions were fantastic, not too busy. My first day up of the season and at the fattest i've ever been, so i was a bit nervous, lol.

Took 5 freaking hours to do a 3 hour drive back due to people having to put on chains.

But, I caught a bug and have a damn sore throat and nasal drip going on since yesterday. And we're leaving for a short trip to Disney Land tomorrow with some fam.

6:45 AM -- Left the house bright and early so I could have a meeting with the owner and the GM before things got hectic in the office.

7:20 AM -- Slid on some salt and high sided an off ramp with the ABS screaming, went Evel Kneivel over the top of the embankment, and got the Maxima stuck in the sticky web of the snow spider's lair.

7:35 AM -- Made an IL State Trooper laugh when I described my thought process of trying to avoid the two sign posts after I knew that it was inevitable that I would be going over the hill. Seeing how the tracks were headed directly for one of those posts, and I wound up missing it by 18 inches or so, he actually complimented me on my skid maneuvering (and most importantly, he left his ticket pad in the cruiser).

7:50 AM -- Paid $80 to be winched out by a tow dude

9:30 AM -- Rescheduled the meeting for after lunch, but my nerves are shot so I can't see it going as well as I had envisioned this morning at about 7:19 or so.

A few nights ago my girlfriend got a call from her friend who slid off the road. My girlfriend went to help and of course...slid off the road right next to her friends car. $75 for each of them plus i get to laugh about her taking a Saturn to pull her friends car back on the road :).
