It's a tossup between #2 and #3.. I'm sure you could find a crew of Eastern European immigrants to fill these positions for you rather easily..

Can you imagine if one of those chicks showed up at your door to "mount your tv" LOL.  I'd feel like Edward Norton when Charlese Theron showed up to fix his cable in the Italian Job.

I got home after a long day at work to find out that my daughter was given a hermit crab.  my wife's cousin thought it would be nice to buy one for her.  of course she didnt ask if it was ok with me and my wife.

so now i either have to upset my daughter (6 years old) and tell her she can't keep it.  or try to find time to take care of the stupid thing.  my wife isnt gonna do anything for it, that is for sure.

have you guys ever read the 2 pages of instructions that are included with a hermit crab?  i don't take care of myself as well as they expect me to take care of this crab.  We got a dog a couple months ago, and I barely have the time to take care of him.  This crap pisses me off.  How can people be so inconsiderate?  Or am I being the jerk?

I know how you feel. My girlfriend has been begging for a dog since we bought the house. I am allergic to everything, photos of dogs make me break out and she wants a dog. Once i went to see puppies with her and it took all of 5 seconds for me to say OK.. once the dog looked up at me. Five minutes later i came to my senses.

I have seen people at the mall selling hermit crabs with funky painted shells. Little kids go nuts over them. My advice would be to stay out of it. Leave it up to your wife, if she steps up hermy lives. If not, hopefully hermy is a fighter or his sacrifice will forever be a card you can throw into any future potential pet negotiations.

That or rent some movie where giant crabs take over the world and let your wife and daughter watch :). They will be wanting to get rid of hermy on their own.

A few years ago when I had a house out in the country, my son started collecting snakes... He had 6 of the bastards in a huge aquarium cage in his upstairs bedroom.
...you guessed it... One night they all escaped into the house... wasn't fun trying to find them all either. Snakes creep me out.

On the subject of snakes...i bought a 1 year old snake (some sort of python) from a friend who was moving out of town and couldn't take it with him. He brought it in a big box. I put the box in the basement of a little hot dog stand where i worked. 8 Hours later i go to get the box and its open, snake gone. WTF?

2 months later i get a call from a frantic employee telling me "get down here, your snake is back and he almost gave the boss a heart attack". The boss was an old greek guy (lots of cursing at me in greek), he was working downstairs when the snake pops up from under some of the equipment and scares him half to death.

I took the snake home, went out and got a cage and all the accessories and then it was time to start feeding it. I go to the pet store 2 doors down from my apartment and try and buy a mouse. Lady wont sell it to me when i tell her its food for the python. I drove to another pet store and kept my plans a secret. By the time i got home the mouse had chewed thru the box it was in and it was loose in my car. 2 days later i gave the snake to my younger cousins.

I put together my first EVO system from Vantage Point today.

Cool product, but MAN - a 56" x 76" system (3 tall, 4 wide) had a millon screws to be hand driven! (ok, more like 128 - but that was enough!)

I like the final product - great for apartments, condos, etc. I'll post pics soon.

I finished up the heavy lifting at an install today. Just have to go back and fine tune the remote and give the client the grand tour.

You just described one of my fantasies. If i ever open my own shop i am only hiring attractive women as installers. One detail i have not worked out yet is the uniform. I have narrowed it down to these.

Of course (cough), if they are on their knees a lot (trimming out CAT5e) wall plates, (cough), they should have (cough, cough) - kneepads.

**hermit crab update**

So I told my wife that she was gonna have to make a choice.   Me or the crab.

So now I'm looking for a place to stay :(

nah, what really happened is that i told my wife that either she takes care of the crab, or it has to go back.   She called me later that day to tell me that my in-laws were taking the crab and would take care of it.  My mother in law watches my daughter after school and during the summer when we are working, so now she gets to see the crab often.  Everybody is happy.  Yay!
