Jed you should be a d!ck and send them the wrong info. That'll learn 'em :-)
It's lame all these people are messing with things they have no business messing with and when you help them out not even a thanks is returned....that's BS.

Yeah, like sending them into the service menu and doing an anti-ISF calibration or activating the self destruct sequence (no joke this exists!). I really would never do that but now that you brought it up I am sure it will scare everyone away. I would love to help but most of these guys have been jerks about it. I have only been doing install and repair for 22 years and that does not count all the car audio I butchered in H.S. and the many actual full sized theaters I installed the 70mm projection equipment, platter systems and surround sound in before I moved into this small time stuff. Nah, I could never be of any help to these ungreatful AVS invaders. Besides they already know it all. I wonder how many people on this board could install a REAL FILM screening theater in a home. Hmmmm......... But I am just a lowly wire puller and Integration company owner these days.

Why all the fighting and cussing? Can't Dave play nice? We're just here to learn and have fun. It was a harmless jab, laugh and get over it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! BTW... S-E-A-R-C-H!!! or do the work!!! |

Kudus on finding a 2 year old thread and resurrecting it after 4 months of silence. You'll have to wait until Jed chimes in and see what kind of mood he's in :-)

Sorry...just saw this. Email is the best way to ask for this. I mostly hang out at IP. Ask nice and I will always help. It has nothing to do with mood. It has to do with not insulting me. Especially when I poke fun at some of the people that just randomly decide to disassemble a TV.

I mostly hang out at IP. Oh I see...too cool to hang out with the likes of us. Don't forget about where you came from :-) For some reason I never drop in there, oh yeah it's because I've never heard back about my status upgrade...

I am a custom installer who has just done the same stupid thing. I was trying to put a xantech naked mouse emitter into a Pioneer PRO 630 HD, as we do with most our TV's....and now the stanby light is perma blinking!! My email is [email protected], if you could provide me with a fix, I would be forever greatful. I've been doing this for 15 years....I know enough not to screw with the insides of TV's, but I've done this with Mitsu's & Sony's forever with no issues or reset switches.....again....thank you in advance for your help. I have manual I down loaded but it does not give much info on the setup procedure. Thanks in advance Email me at [email protected]
