I have a remote for my PS3 that is the 2.0 Version. It has Bluetooth and IR. I have the TV working but I cannot get the receiver (Yamaha RX-V795a) to work. I have tried a bunch of codes with no luck. I have read some other post and something I have seen is that the PS3 remote will only work on Sony receivers.

If this is true is there a workaround?

I have never heard of any PS3 with built in IR. The Nyko I posted works fine and uses standard Sony DVD player (not BD) codes. HDMI-CEC also works with your TVs code. I've also never heard of FLIRC working on PS3. I used both of the above on my PS3 for many years.

I wasn't talking about the PS3 having IR inputs I was talking about the PS3 remote 2.0. It has both Bluetooth and IR capabilities. By activating the HDMI-CEC I was able to control both the TV and The PS3. Thanks for all your help.
