Hello, does anybody of you had already written a prontoscript to connect to the KNX lighting bus? There are severel possibilities. Two of them I can imagine: - Connection via the ELKA RS232 - KNX/EIB gateway; ELKA sells this product for about 1000,- Euros. - Connection via the GIRA Homeserver using the network connection. If so, please post a message or contact me. I decided to make such an application in the next few months as my home will be equipped with this system. Happy programming Christian

Hi there. There is quite a lot of work going on to write the interface between pronto and KNX. Then a suitable RS232 to KNX gateway might be [Link: eibshop.co.uk]Cheers, CP

Hi again, in the meantime I'm working out a connection with TCP-socket. I am using a gate from "Weinzierl Engeneering", that costs a little more than 300 Euros (see [Link: weinzierl.de]). The gate also allows programming the KNX bus elements by ETS Software. I come back to you as soon as I'm ready!

Hi, No experience with this yet, but I'd like to try and interface my Pronto TSU9600 with my Seimens EIB system over TCP/IP. Hope to discuss this with a Siemens expert in the next couple of weeks.

Some Information for EIB / KNX User outthere: I've got a small Tool from Alfred Scherff in germany, which makes it possible to get in contact to EIB over IP with GIRA Homeserver installed. I actually can switch the first lights in my house. Unfortunately, Alfred will not go on developing this tool. If there are some people outhere, who are interrested in this product for a small fee, I would contact him and ask, whether there is any possibility to support this tool for ProntoScript users. If there is anyone, who has already some widgets for TSU9400 (dimming, switching, temperature; eventually transformed from TSU9600), he is welcome to distribute them. Perhaps I can upload a sample XCF in the next weeks. Best regards Winni

Hi folks, I have now the first version of an EIB / KNX controlling tool for the TSU9400. I've used code from the Prontoscipt files from Philips which are developed by Schlaps & Partner (using RS232 and TSU9600). Does anybody know, whether I'm allowed to distribute my version, which uses GIRA Homeserver and a software-tool? Most of the code is identical, only the way of communication has changed.... Winni

Hi there, if you only need one-way communication, there is a module sold by us (and other distributers) from commtec (2TE REG) that can simply receive ascii strings and switch, dim, save presets and/or control your blinds! Works 100%, no hanging, no intergation into ETS required, no additional power supply needed! Simply plug-n-play, all you need to do is send your group-addresses and you're done! Unit price: 599,00 Euros w/o VAT plus s/h. poojoe (of controLED, Berlin)

Hello, I am looking for the tool to connect KNX and Pronto. The idea to do that with GIRA HomeServer looks me like the best way. Does anybody send any example and where, or can I contact someone directly. Regards, Dragan

Hello Chris, thank you for the link. It is very interesting device, but I would like to solve the problem by GIRA HomeServer. Do somebody know how to do that. Regards, Dragan
