This is a 2 part question. TSU 9600 not being recognized by all of a sudden my HP laptop {Windows 10} when plugged in. I have a TSU 9300 links no problem when plugged in and no problem downloading configurations. I've rebooted the laptop, I've powered on and off the remote still nothing. Tried different cables and all usb ports. Pop up says USB device not recognized. Is the remote bad. I haven't plugged into laptop for a couple years, but never had issue in the past. No changes to laptop. TSU 9600 v2.3, firmware 4.0.20 app 7.3.3. Second question probably more difficult. Lost everything on computer and no backup of configuration for the 9600. My bad. Is there anyway to upload the configuration to PEP 2 v2.4.23. I know you used to be able to with older models. I don't mind starting from scratch using the remote and just mimicking the configuration in PEP 2 but I can't download it once I do because it won't connect. Thanks

With regard to getting the remote to connect, disable all HID devices on the laptop such as wireless mouse, keyboard, etc. See if that will work. In the past, there are many issues with Logitech Keyboard Mouse combinations preventing the Pronto from Connecting. I don't recall the need for a specific driver for the 9600. When you try to download to a remote, does PEP2 give you an HID error? For the "Can I upload?" question. Sorry if I am rubbing salt into an open wound, but if I had a dollar for every time I've answered this question.... Please see Sticky threads in this forum.

Hi Lyndel. I did have an issue years back with a 9400 on my old hp with vista and my mouse. just unplugged like you said. Tried on my current laptop same no connect. I haven't tried downloading anyway because I haven't copied my lost config yet. I don't want to possible lose it. Just thought a little weird 9300 no issue 9600 issue. As for uploading config I thought that's what you would say. Read the sticky, but thought I'd ask anyway. Thanks as always. I'll keep you posted on the 9600. Might have more ? after redo congfig.

Have you tried resetting the remote? Over the years I've had to do that a time or two when the laptop in use wasn't recognizing my TSU9600 when connected.

Yeah, my TSU9400 was working fine with a newish Windows 11 Pro laptop. Then one day I couldn’t download to it anymore. I reinstalled the PEP 2 software, which resolved the problem. Fast forward a few months and the problem happened again. I tried all kinds of things and still can’t download to the Pronto (although I hear the sound whenever I plugin my remote via USB, so somehow it’s recognized by Windows). I couldn’t resolve the issue. So, Inwent back to an older laptop (which had this problem in the past, but doesn’t now). I’d like to solve this issue before I have this problem on two PCs. I haven’t tried disconnecting my Logitech USB and keyboards. Maybe I’ll try that next.
