3 years later after working with Randman and GoPronto to solve the mysteries of installing the editors on Windows 10/11, I finally installed Win10 x64 IOT for my own use.
And I think I found the issue where Sounds are concerned. By doing the following, I'm able to see all sounds that are in the PEP2 Sounds folder in the editor.
After installing, you will want to right-click on C:\Program Data\Philips and go to the Security tab. The easiest fix here is to enable access for All Users as Full Control.
Do the same on the Philips\ProntoEdit Professional 2 folder.
Make sure that you propagate these permissions down to subfolders.
Specifically, I had a report of an install on Windows 10 where when loading a configuration that contained a library, PEP2 would report the file as corrupt and abort loading it. The reason was that PEP2 could not obtain write permission to the folder C:\Program Data\Philip\ProntoEdit Professional 2\Libraries.
Remember, that upon first install, PEP2 is in the Standard Mode and as such you cannot see ProntoScript Libraries or enable any type of ProntoScript in the editor. You must first use Tools->Options to turn on 'Advanced' mode. Beware that when you do this, an error will be thrown. Simply press 'OK' to close the error dialog and continue editing.
