Has any one ever tried to wire in a second batterie to there 9600 for longer run tine? I'm thinking of wiring it in and 3D print an holder for it on the left side, for I always hold it in my right hand. I am thinking that all that needs to be done is connect the two pairs of wire, red to red, white to white and black to black

Rather than do some hacking on the remote....

Why not just by a 3000mah battery from Ebay vs a 2200 or 2100mah battery? They take a little longer to charge but I just tested one of these out in a 9600 that used an RF extender (not network extender) and left out of the dock, after about 28 hours, the battery had dropped just one bar.

Red is +3.37 volts with a max of 3.5V. Black is Ground, and White is the charge sense. However, not sure if you can double-up batteries on the white wire. You'd need the schematic to know if charging 2 batteries off one set of connectors is supported (current etc...)

If you get this wrong, you will likely blow the charging circuit or worse, fry the entire remote.

After a bit of research, the whit is temp and I think your right, cant double up, as far as capacity, already using the 3000mah, would like a larger run time, I leave the display on 24/7 for I do not like the delay to reconnect to WIFI. 3 to 5 seconds drives me crazy, so I leave it on, turn the brightness down to the lowest and been happy with that.

Thanks,
I just took an old battery apart and was able to de-solder the connections, including the small little circuit board. I ordered this off of amazon, not sure on the size yet, thinking I should be able to solder the old onto the new.

These are basically what I found under the rapper of the old,

Did you see the warning on the side of the battery images about voltage at full charge being 4.2V and at near empty, 2.7v? If not, please view all the images there.

If you are successful, then great, but I would not recommend this path to anyone who cannot live without their Pronto!!!!!

Soldering onto a Li battery is also not something I would advise at all.

Consider buying a 250W Weller Soldering iron like the one in the pictures. Don't try to use a pencil iron at all.

Thanks, I am very experience at soldering, but I already figured they are not what I wanted, first like you said the voltage drop, second they are the same size as the stock batteries so I don't think they are 9000mah capacity 3x the ones I have. Amazon fails again, hehehehe. Why is every one afraid of LI-ON batteries, every one thinks just looking at them they will explode, LOL. Single cell batteries is very low risk of issues. If you where dealing with muti cell and you don't understand what and how balancing works, then yes don't do it. My hunt for a solution continues.

Not afraid of them. Just don't know your background. You started working on software and now you're tackling hardware.

Hardware easy, As stated many times if I used JavaScript any place else I would be able to dedicate more time to it. LOL
