Update January 1, 2013: Please note that the Philips Pronto website is no longer available, so I am unable to provide registration codes. However - as per our official agreement with Philips, all downloadable Pronto Professional content is available in Remote Central's file area! Use the link provided below for further details. Update July 21, 2011: ProntoEdit Professional 3.0 has been posted for all members to download, right here on Remote Central, without having to first register at Philips! Please see this news announcement for further details. ProntoEdit Professional 3.0 and related firmware are considered beta versions, and are not officially supported by Philips. Please do not contact Philips support for assistance with installation or use of this software. If you require any sort of help, please use the Remote Central forums – we’re more than happy to help. As PEP3 files are not compatible with PEP2, please remember to backup your configurations, IR databases, galleries and so forth before installing PEP3.

Hello Daniel, I'm hoping that I may qualify for the Philips Pronto Edit 3.0 code for download. I've been a Remote Central member for many years and in that time have only used Prontos. Starting with the 1000, then the 3000 and then the 6000 (briefly) and now I have two 7000 models. I did try the 9500 but sold it because it just didn't program the way I expected. I buy them on ebay because you simply can't find them anywhere. Now I never uploaded any configuration because I'm simply not that talented. But if your history could tell you how many times I've downloaded a configuration made by Daniel Tonks, you'd know how often I've relied on Remote Central (and of course yourself). I happen to be cruising R.C. tonight because I have an iche for a remote upgrade and was looking for what Philips had new. If you see your way to allowing me the code, it would be appreciated. If not, I can wait for what will be released. email [email protected]But since I have you...allow me to thank you personally for all the great configs you've done over the last ten years or so. Or is it 15 years? Wow.

I'm using Pronto devices for more than 12 years now, starting with the very first monochrome version (don't remember the name), then upgraded to the Pronto NG, after that to Pronto Pro NG and for more than two years now I possess a TSU 9400. I'm also a member on this site for many years, although I seldomly (or even never) posted config files here, because I wasn't sure wether they were "good enough". But if asked I could still provide self-made config files for all above-mentioned models. I would LOVE to be able to upgrade to PEP 3.0 and be very grateful for a code. For futher info or contact email to [email protected]. Thanks in advance and best regards Cyguy

Please read the message again... it says if you want a code and have an account created in or before October 2010, send me a private message (RC Mail).

Hi Neuroad I would like to get the code for PEP3. Best regards Carsten Møller Carsten, If you re-read Daniel's original post, the condition of getting a code is that you cannot share it with others. I cannot believe one would blatently and publicly ask a user to compromise his/her ethics to provide you a code. If you want a code, RCMail Daniel, please. I'd bet he can work something out.

Dear Dan,
Let me introduced myself : my name is Anantia and I am avionics Engineer. Currently I am review to use IR Remote Control and RF Remote Control to control IFE (In Flight Entertainment) in the aircraft. Most now there is required to integrated one control for all and I see the Pronto Philips Remote Control offer flexibility spanning from old A/V equipment and new A/V equipment. I already started with PEP 2 and already install DVD Blue Ray Rosen Aviation Part Number 0601-002 + TSU9400 Philips. The code is part of package when we buy the DVD Blue Ray.
New PEP 3 which is not fully compatible with PEP 2 is worried me since it means I must learning again. Currently I am generating IFE system in VVIP aircraft where I try to integrate Video 52" LCD High Definition, 42" LCD and 32" LCD with Doly 5.1 Audio System in the cabin system. There is regulation issued that should comply, such Hardware and Software when I use the Pronto Software + Hardware.
I need to know from the beginning PEP 3. Please send the code to me.

Please read the first post of this thread as there are explicit instructions there on how to request access. Daniel was kind enough to give me the needed information to register at the new Pronto site. Last Friday I registered. The site responded with a thank you for registering and stated an email would be sent shortly to confirm registration. No email arrived. I called the Pronto support number listed on the new Pronto web site. The person who answered said the new Pronto web site is shut down and no attempts to register would be accepted and that even he could no longer access the site. There was no way he knew of to obtain PEP3. Denny Moore

The site is still working fine... in fact I just had a confirmation a minute ago that someone successfully registered. I'd look to spam filters or something else preventing you from receiving the email...

I did have problems receiving emails from the Prontoteam last fall. These were apparently blocked by my internet provider. You might try registering with another email provider (maybe hotmail ?).
