Hi all,
I just got a new TSU9600.
Just need to know if I can program it to send IR signals at a preset time each day.
If yes, would appreciate it if some kind soul would point me in the general direction on how to go about doing it.
Does the program used (PEP 1 or PEP2) for programming it have anything to do with it?
Thanks in advance.

Yes, it is possible, but only if you write it in prontoscript. Write a script to run every X seconds which compares the current time with the target time and invokes the desired IR signals when the former goes past the latter. I use such a timer to control my curtains (open at sunrise, close at sunset, get the target times for each from the Internet) and another timer to act as an alarm clock (plays a random song on my hifi).
The script would be the same in either PEPv1 or PEPv2 unless you chose to make it a library (in which case it has to be PEPv2).
I realise that the above is non trivial (i.e. difficult) if you don't know prontoscript (or javascript). But, to my mind, prontoscript is precisely the reason for getting a TSU9600. Learning it is well worth the effort.
