I'm sure this has been asked before but finding a thread with the letters "RF" in this forum is no easy task.
So my question is: Can a 9400 or 9600 learn/emulate an RF light / gate controller?
It is mainly for lighting so it would be very useful to have.
Kind regards
K

I suspect you searched only for RF, and that's your problem.
How about RF Lighting Control? - Yields 26 threads including this one and for sure, different types of RF equipment are discussed. ;-)
Quick Answer - You are out of luck. The RF on 9400/9600 is Wi-Fi 802.11G only.

Thanks again Lyndel,
I suppose I would have to change/add the light controller for a Wifi/IR one.
I will look into it some more on these forums.
Thank you

If the light controller gets put onto a wi-fi network, it would then likely be controlled via TCP/IP. Then, you'd need to use ProntoScript to communicate with the controller.
