I have talked with Nuvo and they say yes, you will get metadata with this module. However if anyone is using this module would love to here from you.

I have it working with my Grand Concerto, M3 and T2 XM/FM tuner and my Pronto 9600. All of the metadata works fine. Took a little bit to get it setup. When I did it, the documentation was lacking a bit. That may have been fixed now, but you need to add slave zones on the GC for each zone you want to control with the Pronto. You also only need a serial connection to the GC - no connection to the M3 or T2.

Thats good to here my grand concerto should be on it's way soon... A couple questions; Do you use there i-Doc? if so, does it have full control for artist, genre, shuffle etc.
Thank you, Joe

I don't use the i-Doc. The prontoscript pretty much duplicates the keypad on the initial screen, then allows you to navigate through the menus just like you were using a keypad. I kind of expect the i-Doc would work like the M3 as long as you get all the metadata on the GC keypads. If that's the case, I expect you'll get it on the Pronto. The only drawback, and IMO this is pretty minor, is on the keypad, you'll sometimes find menu entries that are grayed out that require a press and hold to access. Mostly detailed setup stuff. Don't know that you can get into those from the Pronto, but I've never had need for that anyway.
Oh, one more thing. If when you're setting up the zone number in the parameters, it seems like they were off by 1. So, if you want to control zone 1, you enter 0 for the zone number in the prontoscript. Don't remember for sure, but I think that was the case.

Thank you very much for your info. There seems to be some confusion in the Nuvo/Philips camp as to the ability of this module. (If there is truly metadata being sent out to the Pronto). From what you are telling me there is. So I don't know where this confusion is coming from???
Best Regards, Joe

Don't know, but I absolutely see all the artist/song title info on my Pronto just like the GC keypad. Works fine. Sometimes there's a slight delay in the metadata being updated, but it usually works just fine. I'll be glad to email you some pics of what it looks like when it's working if you like. PM me with your email address.

The nuvo module has two pages. When I hooked it up I am not getting any metadata on the second page which is the navigation of the m3 or tuner. The first page shows artist info and source selection. The set up screen asks wha serial port you are connected to. 0-3 The numbering on a 9600 extender is 1-4. So if you are using extender port 1 you have to tell the module it is zero.
