I have had a brand new TSU 9300 for MANY years now. Fresh out of the box. I am finally finding the time to try and program this device. I have already run into two problems (Day One).

Remote powers up but all I see is: PHILIPS (in blue on a white screen). The screen remains the same no matter what button I push. Shouldn't I at least be able to access the Settings page???

Second issue; I managed to install the original software (Pronto Edit 2) and Pronto Edit 3 found here on the forum. I created the "Home" buttons and was hoping to see what it would look like on the remote so I attempted to send it. I keep getting error C5 HID Not Found. I have tried rebooting the PC and turning the remote off and on numerous times with no success. The manual talks about a "serial port" but this is a USB cable...

I have tried connecting with both versions of Edit. Neither works.

I also downloaded the latest available firmware found here on the forum. I was hoping to update but have not found a way to do that either. The instructions say you use Edit but it probably won't work anyway since it doesn't see the remote. Should I even update it or just forget about it?

PC is a Windows 11 machine. Any help would be more than appreciated!

I dont have a 9300 but while the remote is booting, before getting to the philips screen, press and hold firm2,firm3,and firm4 buttons below the screen. If it works, it will put the remote into a full firmware reload phase. At that point you should be able to download using the 9300 firmware installer. I presume you saw my post about installing PEP2 on Windows 10 or 11? Did you follow those instructions?
