What are you controlling? Are there any identification marks on the remote or in its battery compartment?

Thanks for getting back to me buzz. Here is the idea. The satellite company here in the UK has a new streaming service, Sky Streaming. The supplied remote is very basic. I have learnt all the functions off it OK. Someone has also posted some hex here (but some of the number buttons are repeats of 1) [Link: groups.io] I have tried all the Sky set up codes from URC without sucess. I was wondering if its was possible to say from the Hex - oh thats set up code .... Then there might be extra functions there. I have found this is the case before as supplied remotes have less and less buttons.

I have used IR scrutiniser, details below. I am trying to identify a URC set up code or device from this, or failing that generate a full set of Hex codes.
I thought I should be able to do the latter from the generate section but get error messages. Any ideas RC6-M-28: {D=0,F=44,M=6,S=2070}, beg=0, end=57, reps=1

I’ve always been leery of generating all codes and testing them because some codes might dump the controlled unit into an unknown state. Then you need to discover another code or code sequence in order to return to the normal state.

Or, maybe a reboot will return the unit to normal.
