I have this remote and am trying to reset it.  When I try to teach it following the instructions on the back of the remote (pictured below), I get "OVERLOAD," which (per those same instructions) requires me to see "HOW TO CHANGE YOUR LEARNED COMMANDS" in the Control Central Use and Care Manual (also pictured below, but the photo is not mine - I am in need of this manual).  Hoping someone here (perhaps Daniel Tonks, the author of the detailed post about this remote linked above) can scan a copy for me? or knows where I can obtain one?

Gee - I wish I could, but the manual for this is... somewhere in a box after a move.

Refreshing myself with the review, it seems memory is dedicated per-device (and you can't delete individual hard buttons), so you'd only need to delete one entire device to deal with the "overload" error. This is done via the RESET button in the battery compartment.

Note that correct learning technique and not making any errors is about the only way to deal with the extremely limited memory on this 40-year-old remote.

Thank you for your reply!

Using your advice, I was able to figure out the RESET function! I simply had to have the remote in learn mode, select the device whose functions I wanted to clear out, and hit the reset button.

Very happy!

(I had previously tried the reset button with the remote powered off, and with the remote powered on and the device selected but in *USE* mode, but it needs to be in *LEARN* mode for the RESET to work).
