I see their 1024x768 pack for brushed steel is on sale this week. We use iPads for that size remote. What is the difference between the 1024x768 pack and the Mobile Pro G pack? What would I be missing by buying the one on sale and not the Mobile Pro G pack?

I dont have either of the C3 templates but this is the differences between mobile pro and 1024X768 that i know of.

Mobile pro is 1004X768 not 1024X768. 20 pixel info bar from the iPad. This isnt a huge deal because VTPro-e will just squeeze it to the correct size.

Mobile pro and other touchpanel templates are not the same because of limitations with crestron mobile. I dont know what the "doesnt work" list is like right now but at one point you couldnt even use gauges or guifx transport fonts with it.

Mobile pro is portrait and landscape. 1024X768 is landscape only. You may want to contact them and ask if they provide in in both orientations. Gallery images make it look like they do.

Sorry cgav, I've only just seen this post.

Thanks Mac for answering.

The 1024x768 template was originally designed for the Crestron TPS/TPMC-15. As Mac points out apart from the 20 pixel difference to the background image you could comfortably use this on an iPad. However when you compare screen sizes of the two devices you'll see a vast difference between the TPS-15 and an iPad, the iPad screen being about half the size, therefore we have taken this into account for the iPad by making the buttons that much bigger relatively speaking, so that they are much more usable on the iPad version. Having said that, if you're comfortable using small buttons on the iPad it may well be fine, in landscape.

The other major issue that we have addressed in the iPad version is the orientation, this version is fully set up to work with Crestron's (somewhat awkward) anchoring system, which means that the template is initially designed in one orientation and then the various elements are given 'anchors' to tell them where and how to position when turned in the other orientation. This allows you to use it either way up.

Hope that helps. The offer is shortly about to end on this template but if you did want to purchase it over the next day or two at the reduced rate please contact me and I'll sort out a discount for you.

Mike
