Before the iPad it didn't matter :). The flash gallery i use is very cool because i just edit a text file and put the images in the correct directory.

My biggest reason for not switching over to jquery galleries is because i havent found one that lets me have multiple galleries on a single page. So lets say i want 10 screenshots for each gui resolution. The jquery gallery tools combine all the images in any gallery on one html page into a single gallery so there is no way to dictate start and stop points. In the mean time i could create individual jquery pages.

I will have it fixed my monday morning :).

I updated the gallery pages. I only have an iPhone here to test with (too lazy to go downstairs lol). You can swipe thru the graphics "okay" but not perfect. Im headed downstairs in a bit to eat. I will check out the iPad then.

I plan to rework the entire site sometime this year. File management is getting out of hand and i want to streamline navigation for the store area. I will address the gallery again then. Hopefully this is good enough for now.

This is also at IP.

What are your thoughts on having current zone lighting (raise/off/lower) control on the main screen of each source device?

At my home, I like it. I like to just hit a button and raise/lower the lights without have to navigate pages, but this was with a URC mx850. With a touchscreen, you have to look down anyways.

I've been using the soft/hard keys directly below the screen on the PTX3 to eliminate extra pages by using them for device specific commands like Page -/+, On Demand, Popup Menu, etc.

I then put the raise/lower buttons directly above that. I don't want to use the "SIde Trigger" on the PTX3 anymore and was thinking of putting a softkey on the touchscreen for "more pages" or whatever. But then I will lose my space for the lighting controls.

Having the lights there is fine but i don't think anyone needs access to them all the time. Home... lights... adjust them... this will only happen a few times and doesn't warrant having them visible all the time. If you have found that your clients want frequent access to lights then maybe use a soft key for them. Put a "CLOSE" return button on the lights menu page so they can go back to where they were.

I don't like using the 3 soft keys at the bottom for menu specific commands. I like to keep them as global buttons. I use the right button for "PAGE" it functions just like the side trigger and toggles thru the pages in one direction. So 1..2..3..1..2..3. This frees up the middle button.

I also add that PAGE button to inwall panels in the top right corner. This makes it easy to keep 2 interfaces consistent. It lets me keep page buttons & tabs off the small inwall panels also. The side trigger "PAGE" button was a great idea.. too bad the hardware wont support it lol. We have to work around it and use a different button.

I like to use the middle button for "OFF" to avoid using the top 'power' button for fear it will break like the side trigger. It also makes it easy for clients to understand that you only press and hold that button to reboot the remote. Having it also shut the system down on press can cause confusion.

I like to use the left button for "adjust". This is where i give some clients the ability to have full control over a projector, AVR, film screen, lifts etc. Basically a power user who wants full control.

So Stamp, are you just putting Page -/+ on the touchscreen? Are you using Presets or Dynamic Presets?

I've thought about dropping the Presets down to just 6 giving me a little more space and maybe doing like you are saying and use the 3rd softkey for a Page button and having more presets on the next page.

The lighting thing isn't something that clients request because they dont' have it now. I just know I use it all the time at my house. Ideally a simple "Local Lights" button that just had a popup to raise/lower the lights and then "X" out would be great. Still working on how to implement that in SB. I really haven't figured out how to do popups and to show and not show subpages.

The Page-/+ is just something that clients seem to like having a hard key for. I thought about making the Channel button logic driven so that if they "Guide" button was pressed, the Channel buttons become Page -/+ (like Tivo) and if ANY other putton is pressed it resets them back to channel buttons. This may work or may be confusing. It works with Tivo.

Also, using Button 2 as OFF, i get a lot of clients that press that button thinking it is the "HOME" button. This would just taking a couple uses though and they'd figure it out.

No Page - Page +. Just PAGE. It functions just like the side trigger. A single button that toggles thru the pages.

I am using Presets not dynamic presets. I personally hate presets and if left up to me they would never be on the remote. Some cable & sat providers have a list feature and everyone either guide surfs or is a direct dialer. I am a direct dialer. I know my channels. Other people just surf the guide. Actually.. i almost never watched live tv when i still had satellite. I watched my recorded shows.

The Page-/Page+ that I'm referring to, is the GUIDE PAGE UP AND DOWN. not page over, like the MORE button.

As for the Presets, I was going to quit using them and asked some clients and they all LOVE them, especially for the kids and the help.

I'm working on an idea now and will post something soon.

Okay here are some revision concepts, what do you think? The light button opens a popup for local room control.

Popup

Or with the Light, Power, More as the 1-3 Softkeys, Lighting popup works the same:

LOL after looking at the first graphic i started to type and explain that you could swap the soft keys for the touchscreen space and then i saw the second graphic where you already did it.

IMO the touchscreen buttons should be part of the source and the soft keys should be the 'global' buttons like in your second example.

The light popup is what i would do and have the X return to the previous page.

I will take some screen shots of what I did for this project. I wanted to keep the Guide Page Up & Down on the softkeys for them, because that's how they've had it for the past couple months. I personally would like the mainly used keys to be hard keys. After using the system for a couple days, they no longer have to look down at the remote for every day stuff (like guide page up/down).

However, it makes buidling my templates a bit more of a pain. Thanks to your sexy X3 file, here's what it looked like:
