Got a call last evening from a customer stating the PTX3 remote wouldn't work. I logged in remotely and rebooted the PMC2 and the remote reconnected. This system has been running fine for about 2 months. The range is only about 20 to 30 feet away from the remote to processor. There are EX dimmers in between so range shouldn't be an issue. I did a firmware update (PTX3) on Thursday using a beta firmware V_1.0_0126. Infinite ID is 09 on the remote.

Has anyone else had intermittent drop outs on this remote?

I for one cannot not say I have seen "this" PTX3 issue. Fingers crossed.

I've had random connectivity issues with the PTX3. In this case, did the remote say DISCONNECTED ATTEMPTING TO CONNECT on the screen or was it just not responsive? If just non-responsive, tell the customer to hold the upper right power button for 10 seconds and it power cycles the remote.

I have this happen occasionally on my personal system and it has never bugged me enough to get a replacement. I have no idea what causes it.

I was having similar issues and haven't been anymore. I'm not sure if it was fixed through firmware or not, but I change every remote to 0A and up, never using the default infinite ID of 09.

It was unresponsive. All the client said she could see on the remote was am/fm. Good tip on the power cycling. Thanx

I'm going to pop over this morning. I'll change the ID and see if it happens again. Did you know that that the weather module is offline? When I checked the error log there were a lot of polling error entries so I'm wondering if there may have been a conflict there. I'm going to take the weather module off permanently until there is a fix.

Thanks for the tip
