How do I address a thermostat in toolbox directly? I am trying to troubleshoot a thermostat that just won't acquire.
Thanks

Open your address book, create a new address for the thermostat and select indirect. Then select 2 way RF and change the ID to that of the stat, then select the processor that it is connected to. If it won't aquire I don't think you will have any luck connecting to it though as it has to be connected to the processor.

Yeah, I tried that, wanted to see if there was something I was maybe doing wrong. I've got 2 thermostats going into an existing system today and one is working just fine, acquires immediately, but the other one is nuts. It will acquire maybe for 1 or 2 seconds, then immediately falls back off the network. It's crazy. I got an RMA, so I guess back it goes.
I'll be honest, this prodigy is some really non quality tested stuff.

Your themostat has to be acquired in order for you to change the ID or update firmware.
The best way to acquire is to put your P-MNETGW gateway into acquire mode from toolbox.
Here's the procedure:
1. In toolbox, access your P-MNETGW indirectly using it's cresnet id through the control processor's address ( ip address or usb)
2. Pull down the functions tab on the toolbar and select the gateway entry. Start aquire mode
3 . Go to your first thermostat and put it into acquire mode. Only do 1 thermostat at a time. On initial set up, if you put all of your thermostats into acquire mode, at the same time, you will have a conflict with default id's.
4. Once the first thermostat acquires, open " Network Device Tree" in toolbox. Your connection address is for the processor. You should see your thermostat in the list now. Right click on the thermostat and change your id to the correct id in your program. You can update any firmware for the thermostat from here as well.
5. Do this all over again for the next thermostat
