Anyone ever seen/heard of an AMS getting fried? Our demo system was sitting idle for a few days, and then black smoke started billowing out the sides and made a whole lot of poping noises.

Only time I ever saw it was when a tech we had wired a screen relay into a I/O port. Fried the unit. He also jumped a wire on the I/O ports for power. Screen relay was 24V.

These devices run on smoke, so once the smoke escapes from them, they dont run any longer.
