I've had this for over a decade and loved it. Have looked for replacements but it seems like there isn't much a market for simpler universals any longer. My installer retired. I've read all about the proprietary software, etc. I would have loved to try to figure it out myself. My problem is the remote still works well but the macro used for powering system on is dated. When it was built it didn't seem to turn the TV power on via a power command instead it used the feed from the HDMI to tell TV to turn on. I had to kill that inside the LG (Simplelink maybe) b/c of crazy switching issues on TV. The TV power command works correctly from the TV device page on the MX-780. The problem appears to be limited to the Watch TV / Watch Apple TV activity macros. In an ideal world I just want to slightly tweak the power on macro. Any suggestions on best next steps for me? Thanks

First up forget about the Macro. Work out what steps you send to get the system to power on just using the remote. Do this a few times to make sure its repeatable. Write it down and get another person to test it. Then programe these into a marco with 1/2 second waits between each. The experiment with adjusting the lenght of the waits.
