Many moons ago I connected my MX-980 to my Win7 box to update it. It has been ages. And now the remote won't connect. When I first tried it, the OS complained about it not working. And now, when I connect it, nothing.

It has been so long, I've forgotten what needed to be installed for the remote to connect to Win7. Any pointers will be appreciated.

An update: I found the services and restarted them. Now the remote showed up as an unknown device. I reinstalled the 32bit driver from the URC program directory. I had to disconnect the remote and plug it back in before the mobile device would show up. I was then able to download into the remote.

If the software does not run properly, try using Compatibility Mode:

- Right-click the MX-980 Editor software shortcut.

- Select Properties > Compatibility.

- Check Run this program in compatibility mode for and select Windows XP or earlier for which the software works properly.
