The programming manual, on page 20, as a brief section on Import Devices. But, that is the extent of it. Nothing in the manual on how to import devices using said feature.

I see the section on using the Universal Browser, but it seems to be useful for importing single buttons, one at a time.

I want to be able to pull in a whole device from another CCP file and drop it in the Devices section. Possible and if so, how?

Thanks

Its not that clear, I worked it out eventually.

In CCP open transporter.

In transporter open the CCP file with the device to be imported in it.

Click the refresh option.

Now find the devicve to import

Hit the import button and it should appeart as 'device 1' in the tree.

Have a go and let me know how it goes.

It is even easier then that. In the Device Designer window you will see Devices and Favs headings. Right click on Devices and select Import Device from the sub-menu that shows up. Browse for the file that contains the device you want. You will now see all of the devices that the file contains. Select the one(s) and you want and insert it/them (normally into Listen).

I might be mssing a trick here but when I tried it that way I could only import from the same model of remote, but with transporter I could import from an different model.

Sorry if I was trying to imply that I wanted to import from a different model. In my case, only from a MX-980 to a MX-980.
