Hi there,

I have a LG C1 OLED TV and using the Optical out to get audio across to my processor. At the moment, I'm selecting the audio output and then hitting multiple times to select Optical.

Does anyone know if there is a set of discrete codes to select which audio output to use on the C1s ?

I've had a look through the LG TVs and haven't found one so far.

Thanks,
Roy.

I don't understand? You shouldn't have to chose the output on your tv, whatever displayed should be channeled to all outputs on your tv. It's the processor that has to be set to right input to receive the tv audio.

If the TV is set to use it's internal speakers, then there is no output on the optical output. You need to go in to the Audio menu and select Optical.

If there was a single IR code to select this output, I could add it to my Macro that brings the processor online.

Because then I need to leave the processor, 2 power amps and a sub on al the time when I just want to sit down for 5 mins to watch the news.

You have probably figured out by now that there is not a known command for what you want to do. But I cannot imagine why you would need it. Once you set it up in the TV menus, it should stick. If it keeps reverting back to something else, it is a bug or a failure.

I also cannot understand why you need to leave the rest of your system on to keep a setting in the television working.

There is no truth anymore. Only assertions. The internet world has no interest in truth, only vindication for preconceived assumptions.
