I have a URC MX980 controlling a Samsung TV in my Family Room. I have a URC-MX900 controlling Sony TV in my Kitchen

I had an Apple TV 4K in the family room and I moved it to the kitchen TV. I deleted the info from the mx980 regarding the AppleTV and programmed the commands to the Kitchen 900

When I turn on the Kitchen TV and the Apple TV via Macro button, the TV in the living room will go blank and come back on like its changing inputs.. If Someone is watching satellite TV, it will go black then come back on to that channel in about 2 seconds.

I checked all the programing on the Living room 900. There is nothing controlling anything in the Family room.

The Family Room TV and Kitchen TV are plugged into the same LAN via ethernet.

I can not figure this one out

Is one or both of those remotes operating by RF?

Both are. They are both radio frequency to a URC receiver with IR eyes.

This only happens with the Apple TV page on the mx900 kitchen remote.

Keep in mind the 2 TVs are different brands

I'm assuming that the RF receivers are on different codes, i.e., one of them is set to "1" and the other to "2" (for example).

When you send a command to the Kitchen, do you see the led blink on the TV? When you send a command to the Kitchen, do you see the led blink on the Samsung TV?

Yes different codes for receivers.

No blinking on the or emiiters when this happens.

Not on same circuit

Sorry, not clear on how long post my "file". Are you referring to my CCP files for the remote?

yeah, put it on dropbox and share the link.  easier to just look through the file than all the back and forth guesses.

MX-980 file is the system where the TV goes blank and comes back on

Took a quick look. In the configure home section both remotes were not assigned a default base station. I would do that and see if that helps. I would also not label two devices the same thing even if on different remote. Both remotes have a "TV Only" device. I am guessing because the base stations weren't assigned a default base station it probably went to the wrong one. It shouldn't, but might have assumed wrong base station.

Let us know if that works.

The changes did not work.

It appears to occur when the LED flashes for the Kitchen TV to turn it on and also when you turn it off.

In the family room, the TV goes black for a second then comes back on. No LED emitted light can be seen when all of this occurs

OK I FINALLY figure this out.

I have all my HDMI running through my Integra Pre-Amp. It has a feature where you can output to Main Monitor, Sub Monitor, or Both.

I had it selected to both as sometimes I will run video from the family room and have the same video run on the kitchen TV through a HDMI cable using a Balun (Griffin Technologies).

When I would turn on the kitchen tv, it must send a a signal to the Integra processor that causes the main monitor to receive a signal then glitch.

The fix was to turn the setting to main monitor only on the pre-amp I will turn the "both" setting on only when I use it (which is rare)...Unless you guys have a better solution

Just thought I would post this so there is a data base of weird problem solutions that you can search for
