I am new... this is my first time...
I am trying to add programing for a few new equipments in my URC MX-3000 (purchased in 2005 brand new). I downloaded MX-3000 editor and installed microsoft activesync 3.7 on my dell laptop with windows XP. Then I opened MX-3000 editor from desktop icon. I connected the remote to laptop using USB cable (purchased from ebay). I followed all steps up to #13 in the manual. Now, the problem starts. Remtote is in awake mode set on the plugged in craddle. Upon connection, I can hear a very faint sound but nothing else happens.No window or any box (Get Connected or Set Up a Partnership) opens up. It seems the remote has not made any connection with pc. Is there a problem with the cable or in the software. Do I need to download Microsoft Windows Mobile Device Center? Please...please anyone can help... Thanks
