Hello,
I have searched the forums but have been unable to find what I am looking for. Can any of you professional installers look up the correct code sets I should choose when setting up my MX-450? My components are:

TV - Samsung PN50C550G1F

Roku XD - 2050X

Audio Receiver - Onkyo HT-RC260

XBox 360

Directv HD DVR - HR24-500

DVD - Panasonic DVD-RP56

DVD Recorder - Magnavox ZC350MS8

VCR - Sony SLV-778HF

Thanks very much for the help.

Way too much work when you can get others to do it for you.

Yes, I am following the instructions on the screen. I first tried to select the correct code set for the TV. There were pages and pages of code sets listed and more than half of them turned the TV off and on. So, I decided to try something a little more simple and went to my X-Box. It only had 3 codes that worked the power button. None of the three seemed to act like I thought they would when I went through the "test" procedure. Searching the forum I found that others had asked for help to narrow down the code sets as some people are able to easily cross reference model numbers with code sets. I'm not trying to get out of work. If what I asked for involved a lot of work for someone, then I apologize. It just seems silly to try 20 code sets that partially work. I don't have a problem having the new remote learn all of the buttons off the original remotes, but I thought that it would be better if I could find the correct code set so that I would have discrete on and off codes. Years ago a lot of very nice people on this forum helped me program a Pronto. I'm hoping some of you are still out there.

Hello,
I have searched the forums but have been unable to find what I am looking for. Can any of you professional installers look up the correct code sets I should choose when setting up my MX-450? My components are:

TV - Samsung PN50C550G1F

Codeset TV 515 has all the discrete codes, Codeset TV 578 has the rest.   You will need to add both if you need full control over the TV

Roku XD - 2050X

Roku only has 1 codeset in the library that I can find. AUX 565

Audio Receiver - Onkyo HT-RC260

not listed in the library, try codeset Audio 629, that is the closest as far as the model numbers lining up.

XBox 360

AUX 408

Directv HD DVR - HR24-500

SAT 173

DVD - Panasonic DVD-RP56

DVD 138

DVD Recorder - Magnavox ZC350MS8

most likely DVD 342

VCR - Sony SLV-778HF

VCR 057

Thanks very much for the help.

welcome
