Its not the same as buying from Amazon you can go there and get all the pricing you want, but since Surf does not advertise their prices on their webpage don't think its appropriate for me to give out a price that they themselves don't advertise.
Just give them a call.

Thanks

The MX-890 is a great remote! Its MSRP is $499.99. It uses Linux operating system from what I can tell but the MX-890 is still a higher-end remote in terms of graphics capabilities.

This is not a remote for someone who already has the MX-880. To pay $500 for the same functionality isn't an upgrade, it's robbery. Everyone will say, "the screen, the screen, the screen". Sorry people, any screen that small isn't used really for looking at it much. I have an 880 and really can't tell you the last time I ever looked at the screen. Once the "newness" of a new remote with a new screen is after your just left with the same thing you had before but $500 less. Spend your money more careful I say. :)

If you have the same system AND it has ZERO advanced functionality, yes... but the MX-890 is EXTREMELY different then the MX-880 in programming capability and it can handle much more advanced systems easily... so it would be WAY different if you had Lighting Control, Multi-Zone, etc.

Other then that, yes I would agree.

The MX-890 seems to not have the Listen/Watch and the Favs button. I was thinking of upgrading to one, but I use the Favs button while in devices to get me out and straight back to functions on my AV Amp. ie. Go to BluRay, have forgotten to turn TV volume off and AV on, hit Favs and all my AV controls are there, hit Favs and I'm straight back in my BluRay controls.

Any tricks on how to do that on the MX-890 before I look to get hold of one ?

Thanks,
Roy.

I can't find a store to purchase this online. Can someone please point me towards a store that is willing to ship to Australia. It will be over $700 if I wait for it to be released here.

Anyone actually programmed an MX-890 yet?

I am having serious difficulty with themes, backgrounds, buttons, etc.
