Hi all, First let me say that I realize I am probably asking a lot from my 980. Currently, I use button press time variables in the following way: If [press time < 1 second] execute macro to watch cable Else jump to cable page without executing the macro
This works perfectly. Now, I want to try to use the MX-980 to initiate programming from a Control4 HC-300. Where needed, IR-controlled devices will have their emitters split to both a MRF-350 and the C4 controller. The most important devices that C4 will be controlling will be via IP control. I think I have a pretty good understanding of how to do the programming.
Here is my question: can I "nest" multiple button press time variables onto one button in the following manner?
If [press time < 2 seconds If [press time < 1 second execute macro to watch cable using URC programming Else execute macro to watch cable using C4 programming Else jump to cable page without executing macro
The idea is that if i quickly press the button, the remote executes the macro as it normally would. If I press and hold for a second, the remote brings up the C4 on-screen GUI and the navigation buttons will navigate the GUI. If I press and hold for 2 seconds, the remote just jumps to the device page without executing any macros. Please don't bother to ask why I'm trying to do this. The actual macros I'd like to use this for will involve devices with discrete power commands etc. so I'm not worried about the two systems not knowing what the other may have done. Thanks in advance.
