hi,

i want to make my lighting system (Lutron grafik eye 3106)work with RF instead of IR.

I have checked the manual of URC MX 350;what i have understood is that one end of the IR emitting cable is connected to MX350 and the other end should be placed onto IR sensor.

1)In my case Lutron keypad is at the entrance of my living room and my HT system lies at the opposite side.(apprx. distance 8-9m.)H

2)Is ist possible also to control the other rooms via RF?My grafik eyes are in a different place installed. How should be the connection done?

Thanks,

Remote :MX-980

You need to do more homework?!?!

You could daisy chain one of these from your MRF350 to your grafik eye.......or just use line of site (IR) by aiming your 980 at the grafik eye!

The 3106 was never intended to be controlled by RF and lutron products will not communicate directly with URC remotes. You will need to interphase from your MRF-350 to your grafik eye using IR in some way.

If you want to use Lutron RF you will have to use a grafik eye QS wireless and RA2 switches and interphase using RS-232 control with a MSC-400 or other such controller!

URC also makes their own switches which will work with your remote using RF at 518Mhz? No need for any interphase!
This is by far the easiest URC solution for lighting control using URC remotes!
