I was wondering what is the most reliable way to control a MSC-400 with a KP-4000 regarding basic macro programming.
The manual for the KP-4000 shows wiring an emitter from the back of the unit. It doesn't mention if it will work directly wired to the IR input of a controller. Will IR out from the KP-4000 wired to the IR input of the MSC-400 work for triggering macros stored in the MSC-400?
I am sorry to revive old thread, but I think the question is closely related. If KP-4000 can control MSC-400 via RFTX-1, so can MX-880Z also call smart macros in MSC-400 via RFTX-1 attached to port 4 of MRZ-260 base station? There is nothing about this in manual for MRZ-260 or MX-880Z and only lighting is mentioned. I already have MSC-400 and several URC RF remotes and want to buy ZIGBEE combination (MX-880Z with MRZ-260) for additional zone to minimize RF inteference. But i want it to also control some common equipment attached to MSC-400 via macros and want to make sure i do not burn my money. Can somebody confirm that MX-880Z can trigger MSC-400 smart macros if RFID of MRZ-260 port 4 (i see this setting in CCP) is assigned to RFID of MSC-400?
