I don't see a way to program a MX-850 in the current Complete Control Software.  Since it's not a model option there, I don't see how it coudl trigger RS232 commends.

Is it possible to use a MX-850 with RS232 on the MSC-400?

I've never done it myself, but I believe if you program the trigger codes into a different remote like the MX-980, you can then learn those trigger codes into the 850. Hope this helps.

You could also do it with the stand alone MSC-400 software.

Definately don't want to be teaching/learning piles of RS232 commands, having to double program (MX980 to MX850).

re standalone, I have a mix.  I have a MX-850 AND a MX-980.  Guess I could try all 3 standalone editors.  Will suck to have to build another MSC-400 model in 2 editors from scratch.  There's no way to move the files back and forth is there?
