I'm trying to Control a Nuvo Grand Concerto with an MSC400 through serial but I'm not having any luck. I'm connecting the output of the MSC400 to my laptop and I can see the strings coming out of the MSC400 in Hyperterminal, but I had to use a null modem adapter. I'm using the proprietary serial cable that URC sales for the MSC-400 (male end) but again i'm not getting any response out of the NUVO neither with or without the null modem adapter. I'm using the codes in the CCP database.
For example Zone 1 On would be *Z01ON.
I'm also can connect with a serial cable to the GC using configurator without a problem.Any ideas?

try a carriage return at the end of your command
