Ok I have an odd one here. I have made a button to a timed jump to my light device page so I can adjust my lights from any activity.

My lights are Lutron Maestro. I know I have the IR correct because I can test from withing CCP and the light control is fine.

I don't have the device page "visible" so the only way to access it is with the jump. I have not found anything in the documentation that says if you are in a timed jump that IR is not functioning.

Thanks for any help. I hope I've explained myself well enough.

Please explain what you mean by "timed jump". I assume you mean you jump to the lights page, delay 10 seconds, jump back to the page you were on. If I am correct in my assumption then IR will not work while you are on the lights page because there is a macro in progress, and nothing can happen while a macro is in progress.

Also, what remote are you using?

When I do lighting (with a 980), I use MAIN and LIGHTS rather than WATCH/LISTEN. And on the Lights page, I have buttons for scenes 1-7, and then I put a "BACK" button on that page that is programmed to "navigate -"....this allows the user to navigate easily to the lights page, select a scene, and return to the previous page.

If you are using a 900 or 880 or something else, I just thought of a clever idea that may be a good idea for some clients.....program the # buttons on the device pages with press & hold macros where the "after" actions are the lighting scenes (1-9). Or you can just put the scenes on additional pages for each device....but that can get "sloppy" IMHO. :)

You are correct with your assumption as to what I am trying to accomplish. Thank you for pointing that out. It now makes total sense. I will just make a back button. It seemed like a good idea at the time.

I am using a 980 and a msc-400.

Thanks Audiophilliac for the press and hold idea. I'm hoping to upgrade to the URC RF dimmers soon and something like that will be helpful.

Thanks again guys.
