I had my 980 near perfectly programmed and then all of the sudden it stops turning my DirecTV and OPPO on and off within the activity macros. I have tried everything that I can think of and have spent hours and hours trying to figure it out to no avail. I am using RF via the MRF-350 with each device assigned to a specific port. I have another 980 and 350 and have interchanged them to see if it's a hardware problem. They do the same thing. If I set everything to IR it works. If I set the DirecTV box to IR it works. If I set everything RF it stops working. If I go to each individual device (via RF) to power on and off, it works. I have totally reprogrammed the activity macros...taking out all variables...still nothing. I reloaded an old file that was working correctly....it does the same thing. I am at the point of getting a hammer and smashing them to bits! I would appreciate any advice.

Try just a macro of power on for the DTV box. (not just pressing power, an actual macro, of just DTV power on) see if that works, if it does then maybe move the DTV power on to the first one in your macro. DTV power on delay tv on delay rec on delay ect... I had a rotel that did that, had to put it first in line

Did you do any updates to your 980 and then this happened? We've learned the hard way that some of their updates break things. I have 2 identical programs, one in CCP and the other in the stand alone editors for my 980 and MSC-400. Stand alone works flawlessly, CCP doesn't.

That is a known issue (hopefully) and I would hope a fix is coming sooner rather than later because it is very annoying.

The time that happened to me, it was also a MX980, MRF 350, a DirecTV receiver, a Marantz AVR, and power problems. I set all devices to ALL and the macros started working again. Luckily in this case, as in yours, I didn't really need any IR routing. Seemed like the next time I did programming everything was OK again because by that time I had updated CCP.

update your ccp program, then delete the existing RF receiver, and add a new one and then make sure the RF output is set to the new receiver (there is also a known issue from the October software update that was supposedly fixed that disabled the IR out when all out was selected).

Thanks for all the advise. So far reordering commands as cb1 suggested has worked for me.
