Hi,

I've just received my mx-450 and was searching for the best code to control my Yamaha HTR-6063. I understand that the MMX-810 DB will list codes by mfg/model. I haven't received access to urcontrolroom to DL the MX-810 db for my own use. Anyone with access to the MX-810 DB that can post the best IR code selection for this AV receiver? TIA.

you could probably google and/or go to the normal urc site and look for a manual for an mx500/600/350/650 and get all the information you need...or just follow the prompts that come with the 450 as it tells you what to use for yamaha receivers and gives you a few codes to try.

HTR-6040 => 715
HTR-6060 => 711
HTR-6080 => 711
HTR-6090 => 373

Thats from ccp editor's database. looks like yamaha has alot of codes, you maybe better off learning from the original one if those don't work.

good luck!

What is the part # on the Yamaha factory remote (RAV***)?

The remote model is a RAV337.

The HTR-6063 is the Canadian equivalent of the RX-V667 sold in the USA. I read on this forum that another member recommends code 1095 for this model Yamaha. I will give this a try now.

lol i searched for the remote model number with no luck in their database. the code for a rx-v667 is 1256 ->through-> 1271 depending on zone control/network fuctions/dock/etc... 1256 is the main one that should work for a RX-V667.

There are 172 different code sets for yamaha AVR's in the database. good luck.

Unfortunately, 1256 is not available on the MX-450. I think I will teach the remote afterall; it seems easier. Thanks to everyone for their help.

You can flash the MX450 for all the current codes...
You'll need the MX450 Archival software. [Link: universalremote.com]

Thanks, Joe. That was one of the first operations I performed after receiving the remote -- flashed it with the latest firmware and codebase.
