Hello all, i'm very new to the site so please excuse me if this has been addressed. I'm thinking about getting an MX900 remote but i see alot of talk about getting s/w and cable. I dont want to purchase without the ability to program it. Can anyone please lead me in the right direction on how difficult it is to get and use the s/w?

it is the dealer's option to provide the software to you.  Call around and find a dealer that is willing to provide the software and purchase the remote from them.  

the MX900 uses a standard mini-usb cable which comes in the box.
