I got a new set and reciever Gave up the xbr move to a samsung the wife is goin to kill me mx-880 can anyone point me in the right direction. It didnt even cross my mind till i put it on the wall

The problem is no software for the remote it went with the old laptop yes i did beg for a copy when I got the remote and I was nice and let another person use the disk now the disk is gone the place i got the remote is gone outa buisness haha she hates me finaly gets used to the whole thing and I screwed it up just lookin for some help b4 im in the garage with all of it

I believe life works in mysterious ways! This may be the best thing to ever happen to you! If you can't control your new TV; you may be forced to find some other form of entertainment. Studies suggest TV reduces higher brain activity; promoting activity in lower brain regions. Are you really missing anything? Maybe you can find an activity out in the garage without the TV?

Hire a pro...
You can do it yourself with great consternation (if and when you get software), or you can find a trained professional (to make your wife happy), and then find an electronics guy to program your remote...

Thanx for all your helpful info. I will rave about this site to everyone. I will also love to drop a compliment to URC. I have been in this field of work for over 10yrs now. I pushed their equipt even though we never sold it. I got my remote thinking it was the greatest thing on the planet. We never had URC equipt ran all logitech. What an absolute jerk I feel like now. After trying to get answers and help from URC or people they have installing their equipt is pointless unless you want to get slammed for 300$. I found them to be useless when it comes to customer service. I cant belive I ever sent anyone into that nightmare. Its worse than verizon,bank of america, and aol combined. Quality equipt without a doubt it was great. Customer service and/or support Ill just say its more than lacking. Thank you URC and all the help I got from this great forum. You guys are the best at helping yourself. By the sounds of things it looks like im not the only person that would love to thank everyone for all their help.
