Hello all,

I have a CCP config for an MX-980/MRF-350 and I am swapping the receiver from a Denon 3802 to a 3311CI. Also will switch from stick on emitter to mono cable from MRF-350 for control. Do I need to change the device or update the IR database or leave as is and add/learn any specific required commands?

I apologize if I am thinking too much or asking a dumb question but I have never change a device before so I am unsure how simple or complex it is.

 It may work.  CCP shows them as different IR sets.  Give it a shot.  Most likely there are additional IR codes not present in the 3802 that you will need. Should be able to just do a punch through.

Use code 811 for main zone 812 for extended capabilities for that zone. 815 for zone 2 and 816 for the extended codes. Those will work for all the features of the 3311 and most of the other AVRs from the past few years.

Long story but I just got around to this and I can't get this working. The codes above don't seem to work and I also noticed the IR database actually lists the Denon 3311ci now so I also tried that (1274 Main and 1281 Main ext)...but these don't work for me either. Am I forgetting something? I drag and drop the required features to the buttons they show being changed to the 1274 codes etc but when i test I get the IR flash but no worky?

Got it... ding dong (me) put the IR emitter in the wrong spot...after learned codes were not successful I realized something was up... need to get it wired directly and this wouldn't have been an issue
