Having problems communicating with the DVR via MSC-400. Remote works line of sight with IR, but not through the MSC using RF. Tried repositioning emitters, different emitters and adjusting output. Emitters do blink via RF. The DVR looks like and uses the same IR codes as a Dish Network DVR. Thanks for your help.

Channel Master CM-7000PAL DVR

Just found out that the MX-880 works with an IR repeater system (Binary or Xantech). What gives with the MSC-400?

Sir, my concern is not whether God is on our side; my greatest concern is to be on God's side, for God is always right.

I know it's an old post. Did you ever get this to work?

I'm trying to get the same Channel Master DVR to work with my MSC-400.
The Channel Master can be controlled from a computer connected to the MSC-400 tested through connected devices.
However, I'm having the same problem with RF when I download to the remote.

It's almost like CCP has different codes for downloading to the remote vs the msc-400?

My ports are configured correctly and everything else works like it should.
I'm just trying to add this device.

Any help would be appreciated!

Thanks,
Karl

Figured it out.

Creating an IR device and pages and then importing them into the MSC-400 wasn't enough. Not sure why?
As per instructions for CCP; IR devices only need to be imported from the remote during programing.
I had to create a smart macro group of the IR codes and trigger them on the remote; basically treating them like serial devices.
Not sure why I needed this step, when my previous IR devices work fine?

Anyone else seen this when adding devices?
