Don't expect any of the new stuff before the first of the year. You would think that the SNP-1 would be out first as it can work with existing systems, but that's not what I heard.
BTW, here's a fun clip about URC's CEDIA presence I found on
See if you can identify who each character really is. ;-)
Ya know, now that Jeff moved to California he has taken on that west coast look!
With all the new and interesting products... I don't see a replacement for the MSC-400. With "Total Control" lacking in the area of PC keyboard control, I guess URC doesn't feel that a HTPC is part of the home. I don't see anything new that will take the place of my MSC-400. The computer keyboard feature is one the best aspects of the 400 IMHO. Being able to customize computer hot keys with 3rd party software and control my media players / programs with the MSC 400 while I watch movies/play games on my 100" screen is sweet beans.
I wonder why URC dropped or didn't consider adding that feature in their new "Total Control" products?

The new products have RS-232 so I will still be able to control my HTPC 100% via RS-232 via eventghost, correct? I dont see what the new stuff wont do that the 400 does now, as far as my controlling a PC.
Also, both the MS-780 and 1200 are "dumb" remotes. The only thing they have in them is single commands which can be transmitted via IR or RF (2.4 GHz 2-way RF) for the 780 and WiFi for the 1200.
It is getting about time I retire my MX900. Some of the buttons are getting so they don't work to good. I like the looks of the new MS-780 that is coming out but am not sure what type of remotes they are. Are these new remotes like the MX900 or do they only work with the MRX-10 ?
