I have to take a look at a new customers system and remote (MX-450). The company who installed his system "hooked and booked"; leaving the remote half programmed.
i have programmed many Universal remotes so I'm familiar with their remotes and software.
Where can i get the program manual or software for this unit?
I have all the software for the older remotes but not for the newer ones.

Many thanks in advance.

The MX-450 has a built-in manual in the form of a tutorial. Press and Hold the MAIN button for 3-4 seconds and the editor will pop up. Unless it has been turned off the tutorial starts before you can even begin the programming process. If it has been turned off by the previous installer you will immediately start at the programming menu--navigate to the last option--Display Tips--and turn it back on.
From there the remote will explain every step to you.

I have a PS 3 and this particular remote (MX-450). Starpower in Scottsdale won't reprogram the remote without some outrageous charge, but they will sell me a new and more expensive remote, neither of which are good options for me. The PS 3 uses a ps3toothfairy to communicate with the remote, but I lost the programming on it. Can anyone help me with this issue?

OMG! Is that really THE Jeff Wagner, back from the great beyond?

Nope, can't be since his profile says he's from the Bronx, and I last heard he moved to the left coast...
