Wow, am I ever having a difficult time learning how to use the CCP software for my MX-980. It seems that things that should be easy take more clicking than necessary.

Sometimes when I try to do a macro the macro window is grayed out, sometimes it's not. I don't see any rhyme or reason to it.

I noticed there are a few ways to create macros in the manual.  I suppose I'll try another method.

A few things I've noticed in the MX-980 manual:

For anyone wondering what the text is behind the graphic on page 23, step 3, it's this:

Click on the icon style you need for this button position.

Page 40....what is the word Finding highlighted in red all about?

OK, enough ranting for me.....arrggg!!!

A CCP class is very helpful. They have 24/7, webinars, and live classes.

How do you register for these classes?

Do you need to be a professional installer?

Well, after a couple of hours of playing with the software it's getting easier to use.

All I needed was three cups of coffee and my wife being somewhere else.....lol.

She was not happy with me turning the TV on and off ten times in twenty minutes.

I've got my on macro working like it should. For some reason the on button in the macro was toggling instead of being a discrete on. I searched around and found a button that was discrete and dragged it to the button. Works fine now.

Time for some more macro programming for the rest of my equipment.
