So there's that question. Second, do I want to do that? Is CCP easier/more intuitive? Thirdly, what Oppo code are people using for the BDP-83 since URC inexplicibly does not have it as a component in the IR database?

Thanks!

So your question is :
Can I open a MX900 file that I created in the stand-alone program, in the new CCP?
Yes.

As for the Oppo, use another Oppo code to find out what codes work, then learn the additional codes from the factory remote.

All OPPO Hex Codes are on their web site for the BDP-83. Have that player myself and all posted hex codes work. Using the 6000 URC.

Yes.

OK, so here comes the "Stupid Question of the Day": How? I know you can open it using the universal browser, but what about to import it for use in CCP? I have been uploading the software from the remote into CCP when I want to do this because I was unable to find an import feature and the open command only allows you to open .ccp files.

In CCP program, select new.
Then select empty and OK
In Sys Config screen, select MX900
Then choose existing and browse
In "Files of Type", use drop down and select .mxg

When I do this the .mxg file doesn't show in the browse box. If i browse the folder using "my computer" I can see the file. I am changing the drop down file type box to .mxg

anyone know what the solution is?

Update: for some reason when i moved the folder containing the .mxg file to my desktop, I was then able to browse to that file from CCP. Don't know why.
