I'm leaning toward buying a Panasonic TC-P58V10, but I am not seeing an IR codeset for it for my MX-880.. Does anyone have any experience programing for this TV?.. I've searched this forum and didn't come up with a similar model that will work or any hex codes...

being one of the hottest plasmas out right now I'm hoping that someone can help me out with this!

Do the 800U or 850U IR Codes work or the Panasonic Discrete codes?

Most of the new panny codes will work. I have used 524 and it worked for me but that is in the new files.

Thanks! Looks like pretty much everything except vieracast and vieralink are there.. should make for some easy learning!

If you don't mind me asking, did you buy your 65v10 online or brick and mortar? I'm having a hard time finding someone that has the 58 or 65 in stock anywhere

these codes (as posted above) are the ONLY Panasonic codes, there are NO new codes, despite what URC would have you believe, all Panasonic TV's use the same codeset, the codes will either work for your TV or they will not.

the latest casualty of this seems to be the 'component' input code which no longer works, at least on the G10 series.

regards mark

ps. maybe when you get the set perhaps you could post which codes work for your TV and which don't.

I just got a 65 inch from Brandsmart for $2999.00, they do seem to be going like hot cakes. I'm still a nube at the programming thing. How do you input the hex codes on the Panasonic discrete list into the MX 880 editor? I don't have access to the new download since I bought my remote on ebay. I'm trying to find a work around on that as well.

In the editor go to tools->universal browser
Inside the browser is a small button which opens the hex editor
You can put the code in there
