I have a Pioneer Bluray player which when using HDMI only sends out HDMI. That way I can't use video sensing. I've purchased from Xantech a CBCSM1 and a CSM177 which I need to use in combination with the MSC400 from URC. I'm also using a VS-100 with this setup. When connected it always lights my voltage sensor led on the MSC. No matter if the bluray player is on or off.....

Anyone has some suggestions

Thanks....

I use the Xantech CBCSM1 along with the Xantech SMMAG01 magnetic sensor on the power input to the bluray player. The SMMAG01 has both a sensitivity adjustment as well as delay. Works great with the URC VS-100 for my bluray and projector. I didn't have room for the CSM177.

Ed,

Which model?????
My pioneer elite BDP-23FD has discrete on/off which I control with RS232. No need for power sensing.
Many bluray players that do not have discrete on/off may be turned on by some other means. A simple work a round!
For example the "play button" followed by stop may work for powering on. It works on my pioneer elite. Use stop and power to turn things off.
I'm not sure all this extra gear is necessary for your setup?
Use the K.I.S.S. approach!

Just a suggestion........
Another suggestion would be to start your own thread.

Good Luck!

Put a light sensor on the optical output on your bluray player.

I'm pretty sure Pioneer has discretes for everything in their line. And I think they use the same codes for all their Blu-Ray players. What model are you using?

In the meantime I ordered SMMAG01 and this worked like a charm. Now I only have some problems left with my if/else commands on the MSC400....so if you're very experienced in working with the MSC-400 and with power/video sensors please send me a line or send me a message, then I can layout my difficulties.

Kind regards,

Ed
