Hello All,

I received my MX-980 a few weeks ago and I successfully programmed it without any problems. It is a great remote and the programming interface is easy to use and very, very powerful with all the flexibility it has.

I had a question pertaining to IR programming. I have a commercial music service from DMX (www.dmxmusic.com), which provides 100+ channels of music in high quality (i.e. not compressed). It is a great service which I've had for about 10 years.

I am unable to program the remote into the '980. The 980 learns the IR codes just fine, but when I attempt to try to use the CH +/- buttons, or enter a channel directly by using the numeric keypad, the DMX receiver box simply won't respond.

The receiver box is made by Antex. I believe it is a DR501:

Does anyone have any ideas? The remote *is* a 2-way remote, i.e it has a display and can receive information back from the receiver, however I'm obviously not expecting that to work -- I just want basic functionality to change channels.

I wasn't sure if anyone has ever worked with Antex satellite receivers before.

DMX! I didn't see the DMX codeset! Thank you very, very much. I'll give these a try tonight and let you know.

Thanks again.

Well, I tried the DMX codeset under "AUX" in the Editor. No dice, wouldn't work.

I had previously tried the two Antex codesets under "Audio" as well.

The good news: I was able to get it programmed.

I looked up the "DMX" hex codes here on the site, and then used the Universal Browser to get them programmed.

The end result? It works great!

Thanks tweeterguy for your help, you pointed me in the right direction.
