I have an rf remote and power blaster upstairs and in the basement. The problem is when I change a channel downstairs the channel also changes the tv upstairs. Is there a way around this? The funny thing about this is that the TV upstairs is a Toshiba and downstairs I have a Panasonic. I'm not sure why it would be able to change both brands. Any help would be appreciated.

Yes, sounds like its changing the source, either cable or sat , and not the tv themselves. In any case the only way to prevent this is to abandon the RF basestations. If you only have one URC RF basestation, do you also happen to have a pyramid IR extender? because URC RF remotes will communicate directly with IR extenders under such brands as radio shack, x10, RCA, proscan and others.

The consumer line of URC's products do not allow for multiple RF modules in a single household. The Pro line would (MX350/MRF260).

To comment about both of your posts:

Yes, I have cable boxes upstairs and downstairs. I almost hate to admit this but it makes sense why the remote would change both TV's because the cable boxes probably work off of the same codes. In your other post you suggest the (MX350/MRF260). Are you saying that I couldn't keep my existing RF10 and change the base station to MX350? Since you have the (MX350/MRF260) listed together, I'm assuming I have to buy them as a pair. Is that correct? Thanks for the help.

Yes, you have to switch out at least one system (MX350/MRF260).

Okay, after I read your last post I decided to see what remote and base station I had upstairs. Come to find out that I have a MX350 remote and MRF250 base station. This is the unit that I have had for a couple years which was installed by a professional AV company. I just recently added the RF10 and the MRF100 to my home theather in the basement. Would the MRF250 work the same as the MRF260? If so what do I have to do so that the unit upstairs does not recognize my remote in the basement. One other thing that I should mention, I have not connect the flashers to the unit in the basement because the remote worked without them. Could that be the issue?

You can switch the dial on bottom of the mrf250 off of zero to prevent the Rf10 from communicating with it.

But there is no way short of unplugging the mrf100 to prevent the mx350 from communicating with it.

Both system RF boxes have to be changed...... The remotes will always broadcast 0 ID so even when you have one solved the other will switch. The MRF-100 doesn't have channel ID changing so it will always get the RF signal. Change both out to MRF-260 and then set your channel ID to say 3 and 6. Problem solved.
If it can be wired........
